1st Quarter Review!

WOW! What a great way to start off 2014!

Kicked off the new year on January 6th with Beginner Line & Partner  lessons in Granby, Ma. This is becoming the largest venue for us and we keep getting new people every week. Great group of folk and a high energy level. Starting this Summer we will be transitioning this to a combo Beginner / High beginner format.

Next we continued on Wednesday the 8th at our newest venue in Southwick with Beginner Line & Partner  lessons. We started teaching at this location in November with great group of dancers in a great hall and like Granby we are seeing new faces every week.
How cool is that?

Friday
Rounding out the  1st week of 2014 we welcomed our first dancing Friday of the year at the Chicopee AMVETS. The AMVETS always feels like home and it's where we started the club in 2005. We're seeing more and more of the folks from both Granby & Southwick joining us on Friday Nights. Cool Cool Cool...

Cadillac Ranch
January also had us teaching a 6 week session of Beginner Two Step in 3 Rivers which, by the way, we have had several requests to repeat. As time, interest and most importantly Floor time avails themselves to us, we will look to offer some more Dance "6 Packs" of various make up. ie 2 Step, Classic Partner, Classic Line etc.  Finishing up January we took a One Eyed Parrot road trip to Caddy to visit of Friends Paula & Michael. 45 Parrots wound up making the trek south on what turned out to be a snowy winters evening for a great night of dancing and one of the finest clubs in New England.

Illusions
In February, besides our normally scheduled lessons, we were able to fit in a road trip to go see our Friends Tammy and Dennis at Illusions night Club. Despite having to transverse mountainous terrain and  encountering a waitperson during dinner (previous to Illusions) who was determined to prevent us from ever setting foot in Illusions , We made it. You should see the dance floor, it was awesome. After Tammy's lessons, we had a great time dancing, drinking and hanging out with some really great folks we hadn't seen since East Hill Farms.

In March we began the Month at the Southwick Legion where they were hosting a Country Night of Line dance lessons and Live Country Music featuring the one and only Radio Ranch. It was a fun night with a nice crowd and the Legion even opened op the upstairs bar. If you liked this one, you're gonna love the next one so make sure you make a note in your calendar because on Saturday June 7th the Legion will be holding their next country event in the outside Pavilion with Live Music, Dancing, Burger, Dogs etc.

East Hill Farm March 2014
Also in March we headed back up to Troy New Hampshire with a company of Parrots and way to many rummy bears to the Country Dance weekend at East Hill Farm. We had an absolutely wonderful time teaching, dancing and eating with some of the nicest people you'd ever what to spend a weekend with. The Inn itself is amazing and the staff is superb. It was also fun sharing the additive experience of "Cups" with a brand new Group of people. Next year the dates are March 13th - 15th.
